Hey girls, how would you like some technology for you that isn’t pink?
There’s this idea among many manufacturers that if they make something pink it will attract consumers from the fairer sex likes bees to nectar. Truth be told, many tech-oriented girls are no longer six years old and would like something a little more mature. Take MSI’s new notebook, shown off the recent Computex Show in Taipei.
There’s no doubt who the target audience is but it’s artistic and classy without once resorting to stereotyping. The glossy piano-black inside would be perfectly at home in any bloke’s gadget collection.
On the specs front, you are looking at an Intel Centrino Duo engine, 1.3MP Webcam, 17in screen, nVidia Geforce 8600M GT 512MB graphics, DirectX 10 support, HDMI output, surround sound and optional TV tuner. No price or launch date yet, but refreshingly different nonetheless.
